Ball screws are elements which transform a rotative movement into an axial movement. This attribute are owned by all screws but ball screws have the benefit of balls which are arranged between nut and screw so the unwind occurs in a much more higher effiency (90% to 35%) like for example a trapezoidal screw. So the ball screw is more applicable for the driving of machines and devices.
